Stupid Shit Teenagers Do

I'll start with my stupid ass teenage neice. She has missed 15 days of school so far and can only miss 8 for the year she said. She's pissed because the school only allows for a few makeup days, so she has already failed. She said this morning she was quitting HS and going to get her GED. She doesn't have a job, so I asked how the hell she planned to pay for it and her response was to ask my father. WTF!!!! If my kid turns out even close to how my niece is, I'm going to strangle her.

Edit: Forgot to mention she is a senior and would have had 5 months to go.

2) 16 is of legal age in South Carolina, its the law BTW.

My son has missed more days than she has, and it's not because we don't give a poo. He'll now be a semester behind, and I've pretty much come to terms with it. Mono set him back 5-6 weeks, and even making up days after school and doing inbound, it's not enough for him to pass this semester. He may actually have to go another year. But his ass is going to graduate.

Another thing, when you have 17 year old that refuses to listen, what do you really do? You cannot physically force a 17 year old to do things, so the only real thing that can be done is to use incentives. This crazy female I refer to also is trying to get pregnant by her loser ass hibilliy BF.

I never did hard drugs or DUI stuff. I never had unprotected sex or even pulled out early. Hell I even wore a condom when the girl told me she was on the pill cuz my parents scared the poo out of me.

Didn't get in unnecessary fights. In fact the biggest bully I ever had was a music teacher that I regret not standing up to. Well I actually did stand up to him I just wished I did it in front of people to look like a badass:(

Probably losing stuff and skipping school to have sex or smoke pot. Maybe not figuring out what I wanted to do in college and not keeping my gpa high enough.

Treat him like an adult(respectfully) to the point that he realizes being a teenager is awesome and he should be thankful.
