What if we implemented a 100 IQ minimum to start a thread?

IQ isn't fixed and can vary over time. I'll grant you that it typically doesn't vary 20 or 30 points but can change based on age, amount of education, and what factors you are measuring.

Just sayin.................

IIRC crystallized intelligence may change but fluid intelligence does not.

IIRC crystallized intelligence may change but fluid intelligence does not.

Crystalized knowledge tends to be what people refer to when you acquire information from books, school and interaction with your emvironment thus it changes as more knowledge is gained. Fluid logic or the ability to solve puzzles, figure out solutions to novel situations is less dependent on knowledge acquisition but can be increased by practice and experience.

Conversely IQ can go down and often does after folks are out of school if they don't read and continue to acquire more info or expand their horizons.
