What would be adequate to you, sir?

Using the run to actually do something when it counts (where were the lanes while DWill and JStew were our primary backfield?...

...and then have a passing tree that has more than 7 routes...

I have always said it starts with Fox/Davidson... They think what worked last year is going to work this year, and built the whole gameplan coming into this season around that...

Too little to late to me... An adequate running game right now would be a consistent one, and it doesn't mean consistent only on run plays...

You run to setup the pass... But then you let 3 or 4 defenders into the backfield on nearly every passing play...

with no threat of the pass opponents won't allow the team to be consistant w/ that. The run attempts to setup the pass....and Jimmy does nothing. Then opponents realize it and adjust taking away everything.

The word is that he slipped in the draft because of his "intangibles". Scouts, Inc graded him an 89 out of 100 heading into the draft and the only category he got a poor grade on was his intangibles (attitude, leadership, teamwork, etc). The irony is that Clausen's intangibles appear to be the least of his problems, we haven't heard anything that suggests an attitude, leadership or teamwork problem...

Even with the concern about his intangibles, many experts considered him a top 10 talent and discussed whether he or Bradford was the best NFL QB prospect in the draft.

The bottom line is that the draft is not an exact science and QB is the hardest position to project from the NCAA to the NFL. With all that said, it's too early to label Clausen a bust... look at what happened to Steve Young when he was traded from a bad Bucs team to a good 49ers team. Clausen has made plenty of obvious mistakes all on his own, but on a team this bad it's hard to cleanly evaluate anyone's performance.

So your problems with the run game have absolutely nothing to do with the run game but every other part of our offense?

Brilliant.
