Sutton clearly was on the roster when everyone was healthy. He also was above Goodson on the depth chart last season.

Sutton just became my new favorite Panther...I'm tried of hearing about Luck also...My goodness folks give Sutton crap on his comments on Luck as if Luck has played a single down in the NFL.

As far as Luck is concerned...Sutton is a 5 year vet in the NFL.

Well none of the QB's on this roster are of starting NFL Calibre and none are ever going to be a stud QB so I guess you like this team sucking then? And the 5 year vet can go suck it, he too will never be worth starting material in this league

Would those that are sick of hearing about Andrew Luck be sick of hearing about AJ Green or Patrick Peterson as well if thats who we were targeting? I don't get the whole "we gotta support our QB but we can throw the DTs under the bus all we want." QB is no different than any other position. If he sucks then he's going to hear about it and his ass needs to be replaced.

When your team is 1-11 it's only natural to fantasize about potential draft picks, especially a QB. I realise Sutt is only trying to stick up for his teammate but he should get over it.

Naturally I don't enjoy seeing our team suck like we do, but I am not buying the notion that 2 second year college QB is going to be any different if we did in fact get him. Yeah it would be awesome if it worked out that this guy stepped into our team and took us to the Superbowl, or even an over .500 record on his back in his rookie year..or even played much better than what we have seen this year from our QB squad.

My main concern is that we spent/gave up quite a bit in the last draft to get QB talent that admittedly hasn't performed like we all want, but hasn't had much time to develop, and yet we want to go into the next draft and get another rookie QB who may or may not part the heavens like many think he can, and then we are in the same position come week 8 next season (Luck sucks.. he'll never be a stud..lets go get another rookie QB)

Luck has talent and has done great things at Stanford, no one can deny that. However I just do not believe a guy with only 2 years of college play under his belt who wont even be 22 years old by the start of next season (if there is a season) can just come in to Carolina and suddenly make a huge difference right away (within 8 games so our fans are not ready to run him out of town) that will justify the first pick of round 1 to get him.

All of that said...if we do get him and he does turn out to be the next Manning...sweet for us!

Players don't want to be reminded that they're playing bad enough to earn the #1 pick in the draft.

Again, he shouldn't have said it, but in his position I probably wouldn't have wanted to hear it either.
