It Can Easily Get Worse

True, but it looks like the cap won't be in place by April. And if it is that'll mean that the CBA was done early enough for most college players to factor that into their decision.

I actually don't think it'll make much of a difference either way. They'll still get paid and even if there is a lockout they'll get to play eventually. I think Luck's decision could be more about the money as if he waits a year he'll most definitely be dealing with a rookie cap. At least now he has a chance to get the big money.

Then again, he may not care as much about money. But that's a lot of money potentially on the table. I'm not sure what kind of numbers they're tossing around for the cap, but I'm guessing he won't be looking at the $70+ million contracts signed by Stafford & Bradford if he waits a year.

My guess is a fair number of kids who think they are first rounders will come out anyway to avoid the potential rookie salary cap. Cash in on a big contract while you can mentality.

I'd imagine teams won't do contracts with these guys until the CBA is resolved and a rookie cap is in place.

Atlanta wins the Superbowl.

Owners lockout the players.

Most of the underclassmen stay in school (Luck, Peterson, Green, etc) with only a pathetic group of seniors declaring.

Happy Monday, everyone!

they'd be stupid to do so. Their draft value cant possibly get any higher than it its now.
