Anyone Still Want to Defend Clausen?

Clausen > Pike > St. Pierre thats what we got so get used to it... and Clausen > Moore any day of the week.

Moore is 1-4 as a starter. Clausen is 0-6. I believe that makes Moore > Clausen.

moore gives us the better chance to win, but since he's injured... yeaah.

I do think Clausen > BSP, but I would like to see Clausen not get shaken up so easily...

I don't think anyone is solely blaming Clausen. Hell I'm a Moore guy and I don't solely blame Clausen. However you can't deny that Jimmy is playing scared out there. Moore could at least chuck it down field and convert 3rd and long. Jimmy has played OK. His check down self was good enough to win last week but it was blatantly obvious today that he gives up on the play too soon.

Moore and Clausen have both made bonehead interception but Moore will at least excite you with some big plays down field and a Steve Smith performance of 70yds or more. I'm not trying to hate on Jimmy too much I know he's a rookie but you cannot deny that he's afraid to go down field.

I would like to add that Rip Scherer is a terrible QB coach. Thank god he'll be gone when our new draft pick comes into mini-camp next year.

Of course when he missed Jeff King for a wide open touch down while he was staring down Smith was also a classic Clausen moment.

Not in the NFL he doesn't. Clausen will be gone from the NFL by next year at the latest. Never to be spoken of in NFL areas again. He sucks worse than any QB I ever remember.

A little harsh there. I think Clausen is as much a victim as a cause, but I also think we have to consider other options. Namely, Luck.
