We were given a  Buccaneers player as our commentator for years so I don't think they care about that

Yea he can't go to pre-game practice or talk with other players. Getting paid all that money but can't do the full job.

Fox should get that money back since he can't even do his job correctly since he is part of ownership.

What I heard fox paid him, I thought it was insane. Then it was explained to me by someone in the business, fox is buying the rights for Tom Bradys time. Theres more than calling a 3.5 hour game with his responsibilities. He's very known and people would pay to meet him, hear him speak, or just be in the same room. It's similar to politicians getting paid to eat or speak at events. Being around a celebrity is a huge deal for many football fans. He's the goat like it or not, fox has many sponsors and having Brady under contract control allows for more favors and most important more money making opportunities.

Correctly so...

Olsen is the best analyst in the game right now. Fox screwed up betting on Brady to be a better option.

I've kinda wondered if Sunday Night Football might make a play for him somewhere down the road.

Right but a majority of those other responsibilities outside that 3.5 hours he literally can't do. Hell even stuff during the game like commenting on calls he disagrees with from the officials he isn't supposed to do. His name doesn't add any value to Fox imo. No one is tuning in to a game they otherwise wouldn't watch for any announcer regardless of name.
