Will no longer be the trashiest fans after 8 pm tonight. I have been listening to Cleveland sports talk radio all day today and it sounds like poo is gonna get ugly. Guys have been tailgating since 11 am and are hammered already.

So it's going to be very emotionally draining."

No one is quite sure what to expect. The Cavs, who talked with the Heat and NBA about their security plan, say their safety protocol already exceeds league requirements. Even so, there will be more uniformed and plain-clothed officers inside and outside the arena. During the Cavaliers' game here Tuesday, four uniformed officers were stationed close to the visiting Boston Celtics' bench. Expect more Thursday, plus other security measures:

•The Cavaliers already require fans to go through metal detectors.

•Beverages sold at the arena will be poured into plastic cups to try to prevent bottles being thrown.

•Vulgar or obscene shirts and posters will not be permitted.

"We don't want people to feel like they're in a police state," Carper says of the precautions. "We're going to take the proper steps that need to be taken, but we want fans to come down and have a good time."

Brownrigg, who planned to spend Wednesday and Thursday filming at various anti-James rallies, expects an emotional response from fans.

"When it comes down to it, if people didn't react to him, it would show they didn't care," she says. "It really is a testament to how much he meant to the city, how important he was and how much of an influence he was. … If they hadn't loved him so much, they wouldn't hate him so much."

If the Cleveland fans behave the way they have been threatening tonight, they will only prove what assholes they are and that Lebron made the right decision for himself. Who wouldn't want to live and work in Miami instead of the armpit of the United States?

I tivoed this game and Im sure beyond a shadow of a doubt this will be the ONLY basketball game you will catch me watching all year unless they play each other again. Im really hoping something awful happens...is that wrong?
