Which one of these players under contract next year has the most trade value?

running backs are worthless rmoneyg35 sorry about your post

Are you being sarcastic?

Running backs that are elite can hold good value. If Stewart was 30 years old then he would have no value but he is still young.

And I hate to say it but Steve Smith is not the player he used to be. People think because our horrible Qb situation that his numbers are down but his age has started slowing him down and he is not even close to the player that he used to be. I also have noticed that he has dropped a pretty good amount of passes this year and it wasn't because of the Qb. Smith is still good but he isn't the elite receiver he once was. I am a huge Smith fan and hate to say this about him.

Is just me or is ownership really tearing this franchise down. The things the front office does and neglect to do really has me baffled.... If we are getting a new coach, why not a at least load him up with draft picks through meaningful trades. We let Peppers walk away with nothing in return and it looks like we are going to do the same thing with Deangelo Williams.... two words to describe the front office: stupid idiots..... I know they do well in the scouting department but they can do so much more.

If they're so easy to come by, then what about teams that have a distinct lack in the running game due to not having a decent back?

ie: Brandon Jackson in GB

No sarcasm, I'm unaware of why RBs are worthless in terms of trade/draft value and hope somebody wouldn't mind explaining it :)

I hope it's not some made up numbers system that somebody created years ago similar to how value in the draft is handled :(

Steve Smith puts a team over the top.

Imagine him in San Diego :/

Yea, I don't know why a team like the Chargers or Colts, hurting for WR's, didn't just buckle down and offer a 1st rounder for Steve Smith. He could put an already good team over the edge.

I think someone might still give up a decent 2nd or 3rd pick for Smith, but I'd rather keep him.

No way anyone gives up a 2nd or third for steve smith, he's coming off his worst statistical year, given that its not all his fault.

Santanio holmes is younger, and around the samee talent level, and he only fetched a 4th.

Moss wasn't even worth a third  NE had to chuck in their 7th

No way we get a 2nd for Smith, unlikely we get a third, more likely we get a 4th.

Find me a linebacker who was traded for anything above a 4th round pick.

Clausen does still have trade value, but if we draft Luck then teams will know Clausen has no real future here. However if he finishes the season strong... But then why would we trade him :S

Stew has the most value no questions asked. He bounced back against Cleveland and will have the rest of the season to run riot with Goodson handling the passing game. He likely would fetch a 3rd, however some might offer us a 2nd.

No way we get a sniff of a 1st with any of them
