Which about 99% of them do. Plus is it worth the risk? Cops will pull you over and waste your time? Then you need to go to court and argue that it didnt...

I've never seen a frame that doesn't cover part of the state name, which is protected by the law.

I got a Notre Dame frame, covers up half of "first in flight" and almost all of "North Carolina"

But I wonder if they will really pull people over for it, or just add it on to what they pulled you over for?

up in these parts, people get very creative on ways to hide their license plate...big trailer hitch, plate covers - also very illegal, snow is a favorite...mud...seen some that put a little piece of tape on them...makes a C an E really quick for example!

Its been that way forever in South Carolina. I remember Myrtle Beach cops giving tickets for that. fuging ridicules.
