Quarterback DeAndre Presley of Appalachian State made it 2 for 2 yesterday, when he was named the Southern Conference offensive player of the year by league media representatives. He won the same award Tuesday in voting by SoCon coaches.

Presley, a senior from Tampa, Fla., has led ASU to a 9-2 record and a sixth straight SoCon title. He finished the regular season with 2,223 yards and 18 touchdowns passing and 753 yards and 11 touchdowns rushing.

Everybody is a great QB at App State.

not saying he will never be good but a project conversion wr is not a 2nd round pick, 4th or 5th would have been ok. Dude has speed, hes just got build chemistry and confidence with the offense and understanding gaps in coverage

If you actually think that he would have been there past the 4th round, you should turn in your football card and sign up from a subscription to the Oprah magazine.

No one is arguing that giving up a 2nd for him was not crazy...but he would have gone in the 4th without any question.
