Gout? I wish!

Jackofalltrades

Got a buddy whos had a helluva time with his back over the years - 3 vertebra fused two years back -and he is constantly on the edge of having his liver fail from all of the acetaminophen in the drugs they gave him for pain.

Even more sorry to hear about this today if that's possible.

this sounds all too familiar. I get my blood done quite often because I eat alot of otc meds to help me deal with my lower back. Knock on wood, it's been better lately, but I beat the crap out of my system with the meds for a long time.

Good luck JOAT...and as others have said, keep your chin up high and you'll be amazed at how medicinal a positive attitude can be. Keep us up to date and let us know if we can help too!

Symptoms on liver? None, had no clue. However, a lot of the symptoms are the same as other ailments I have from a variety of things.

General fatigue, zero energy, pain and swelling in my back, GURD, anemia, constant headaches, gout, joint pain and swelling, various GI issues from time to time.

I've always taken a lot of OTC stuff, like Hawk, but I've damn near lived on Advil for the last several years. No doubt that's taken it's toll, plus the rx drugs I'm on for some of the crap listed above.

Between sleep apnea and all this bs I really don't remember what it's like to actually feel good for more than a few hours at a time.

Because you're smart.

I'm too paranoid to take even Aspirin or Advil. I always feel like something's going to come out a few decades from now that talks about how horrible they are.

Well, really, another part of it is I feel you weaken your body's natural immune system when you take medicine. Don't get me wrong, if it's something really, really serious, I'll seek treatment, but if I can grin and bear it, I'll do it.

since i have been taking fish oil/omega 3's the last few years I have taking MAYBE 5 ibu's total. Stay away.

If you are able, do start taking omega 3's.That alone cuts down on inflammation of the body. We get our ph's out of wack and thus the inflammation goes up, it makes us more prone for bad stuff.

Also I'm willing to bet you might be an ice cruncher, if so that's a tell tell sign about anemia and liver.

Up your brocolli intake. Eat probiotic yogurt daily.

Little diet stuff to boost your immune system as well as really clean you out and get rid of toxins.

But it can't be said enough as Hawk touched on. Stay positive, get GREAT rest and chill when you can.
