Jake----

I wouldn't even give Jake the honor of calling him mediocre. He's flat-out bad. Here are a list of current QBs I'd take over Jake:

Matt Ryan

Drew Brees

Romo

McNabb

Jason Campbell

Eli

Kurt Warner

Shaun Hill (he and Thigpen are the most underrated QBs in the NFL)

Aaron Rodgers

Matt Cassel

Brady

Trent Edwards

Pennington

Peyton

Matt Schaub

Rivers

Cutler

Thigpen

Roethlisberger

Flacco

Carson Palmer

Brady Quinn

If there are 22 better quarterbacks than you in the league, does that even make you mediocre?

If you would truely have all those qb's over jake then there is no point in arguing with you and thank god you are not running this team.

I'm going to say this as nicely as I can:

That's incredibly incredibly stupid. You realize you can do the same thing for other quarterbacks to skew the results right?

Just because you don't want his poor games to count against him doesn't mean they magically never happened.

14 good games

3 bad games

12-4

Who would you recommended as the starting QB next season?

And what do you think our record would have been this past season if we had a "good" QB?

Congraulations those stats include the playoffs, he did not have more int's than td's in the regular season and no one is arguing how bad he was in the playoffs this year.

So the Cards game didn't count?

Playoff games count just as much as the regular season, even more so.

Just like our official record for this season wasn't 12-4, it was 12-5. Just like it wasn't 11-5 in 2003, it was 14-6.

If we had a good quarterback, there would have been a very very possible chance that we could be gearing up for Super Bowl XLIII a week from today.

Doesn't matter because of how misleading they are, especially for the Panthers. I know at least two of Jake's miraculous 4th quarter comebacks this year were based off long hail mary type passes to Smith.

He should get the credit for those comebacks, not Jake. Ryan Fitzpatrick and Dan Orlovsky could chuck the ball up for grabs too and probably have some success with Steve Smith as one of their receivers.

Orlovsky had Calvin Johnson

Fitzpatick had Chad Johnson and TJ Housmanzadah.

You make it seem as if Jake Delhomme is the only QB that has a good WR.

According to ESPN

Jake's Rankings

Completions- 19th out of 41

Attempts- 22nd out of 41

Completion Percentage- 22nd out of 32 (14 attempts per game to qualify)

Yards- 15th out of 41

Longest Pass- 27th out of 40

Touchdowns- 17th out of 41

Touchdown Percentage- 21st out of 32 (14 attempts per game to qualify)

Interceptions- 18th out of 32

Sacked- 9th out of 32

Quarterback Rating- 18th out of 32 (14 attempts per game to qualify)

Know when you average those out that gives Jake an average rating of 18.8 for all those categories. There are 32 teams in the NFL. So Jake is 18th out 32. Which makes him a mediocre Quarterback.

Megatron doesn't have the leaps that Smitty does. Ochocinco didn't play for much of this season and Houshmanzadeh isn't a #1 receiver.

Houshmanzadeh is a number one receiver. He just played on a team that had another one.

That is like saying Anquan Boldin is not a number one receiver because Larry Fitzgerald his opposite of him. Boldin just needs an oppurtunity to be a number one receiver.

Chad played 13 games and Calvin being 6'5 makes up for him not being able to jump as high as Smitty.

That's all well and good. The fact remains that people tried to use those Green Bay and New Orleans comebacks to crown Jake's ass, when it was 95% Steve Smith that won us those games. Anyone with a big enough arm and years of practice with Smith could have also thrown the ball 45 yards down the field for him to make spectacular catches to grab.
