School field trips to Ovens Auditorium to hear the Charlotte Symphony Orchestra play

Where was the mural of the three Hornets players?

pretty sure it was on the side of the first union building, which is now Wachovia 1, on tryon.

The waterpark and shopping area owned by the Baker family near Lake Wylie...forgot the name (Heritage Park?), but they had a pretty cool set up.

heritage USA! that place was awesome. it seemed everytime I went though someone had pooped in one of the pools!

Albermarle road had lots of good restaurants on it like Gradys, Casa Galardos and Rock Ola. (also Daryls which i didnt like that much)

There was an Ivys downtown.

The Christmas Bears at Eastland mall and Eastland mall rocked and was insanely crowded especially at Christmas.

When there was no Ballantyne.

My parents were about to build a house in Ballantyne before it was Ballantyne (1994ish). They decided not to because it was to far out and some real estate agents were saying you don't want to be near 485. lol they had some friends who built in that neighborhood and made a fortune when they sold their house.

I remember Charlotte Knights games over by where Ru Sans is now and then going to Carlos Pizza (was next to Red Cross) after the game.

The Carlos that was on N Tryon but then closed? Hardcore NY/Italian guys? That Zcustom and I were talking about that one day? Cuz that place was the shiiit.
