Spoons at Cotswold was awesome, and the one on 7th.

You could smoke inside South Park

Midtown Square was Charlottetown Mall (with the DMV that was always empty)

49 by the university was 2 lanes

Independence was just a regular road and had Quincy's and the almighty Krispy Kreme at Hawthorne

Media Play

Yes. I made one of the worst concoctions known to man, and my dad made me eat it anyway because it cost like $18.

Allstars and Spoons, bitch.

Remember Park Place Pharmacy?

Remember EC Griffith and LC Caudle Little League fields on Randolph Rd?

AllStars was where I got all my pogs and baseball cards. What the hell was the point of pogs. They also had that awesome candy machine thing with the arm that I wasted lots of $ on.

Put the fields in my post too. My brother played on those fields. There's only that one left now. Well, 2 if you count the ones on the corner.

I remember Jay Thomas being a DJ on WAYS AM 61 (now 610 AM) Big WAYS. He's been in a few TV shows, notably Eddie on Cheers....

Before it was Mid-Town Square it was Charlottetown Mall...the theater is where we used to go see midnight movies like Rocky Horror Picture Show. And do acid. :)

remember when south park mall was the actual south park mall and not the piece of poo it is now?

Yep, got lost there when I was a kid.

remember when you could go ice skating at eastland and not have to worry about being shot?

How about Farrells in Eastland? That place was the poo for birthday parties

Fosters on Montford.

When there was no Ballantyne.

The Hut.

Atlantic Beer and Ice.

When Charlie's was at South Park

Wasn't it like inside SP? Like you could get into it through the mall?

SPEAKING of that, remember when they had the cafeteria at South Park? Man, I loved that place! Yeah it was a little grungy and grimey but it was straight southern cafeteria food and you go through the line with your little tray surrounded by old people. good times.

Also, they don't have music stores in SP anymore. There used to be atleast 2 CD/DVD/Media Play-type stores in there.

I do. One of the scenes is in my parents neighborhood. They are all over Charlotte in that movie.

Juwanna Man was filmed here too.

Eddie was filmed in Charlotte also...They used the old Morrocroft Estate and the Coliseum

Also, I remember the BBQ stations at the old Coliseum like it was yesterday. I loved that stuff

Anyone remember the Epicurean Restaurant? Then they had the sign up to build a new one across from Brixx for the longest time.

The ribbon cutting ceremony for Speedway Blvd. before Concord Mills was built. That was when Harris Blvd. was pretty much it before Poplar Tent & Concord
