Can we really beat seattle?

totally depends on which Seahawk team shows up!!!

Some would think this could be a classic trap game, but we know what's at stake and know this is a must win game for us to hold onto any chances of winning the west.

Question: How does any game against a 1-10 kitchen grease fire of a football team get completely misconstrued as a "trap game?" You sure you don't mean "tune-up game?"

I'm just waiting for the 'Hawks to sign Jarrett in time to light up Carolina for 8 catches, 130 yards and 2 TDs....

Carroll did bring him in for a workout......

highly doubt it. Seattle doesn't lose at home much, tough place to play. Their division is poo so they are still right in the thick of it. They just got beat at home pretty embarrassingly by the Chiefs. I expect the Panthers to get a highly motivated Seahawks team.

The only thing we have going for us is Seattle's running game is not the best (runningbacks have been killing us this season see Forte, Blount, Hillis), but knowing me I just guaranteed Lynch or Forsett to have a 150+ day on the ground

On an emotional level, I want a win. Logically I know we're far better off losing out and drafting #1. The game against Seattle will have one of 2 outcomes:

1.) We're blown out and the game is over by the 3rd quarter.

2.) We manage to keep the game close, and in the 4th quarter Jimmy has a chance to lead us down the field for a win.

Let's say scenario #2 happens. Jimmy has another opportunity to prove he can lead this team. He'll have to throw deep passes and make several big plays down the stretch. How confident are you that Jimmy will make the big plays we need to win? When Jimmy completes a long pass, it almost feels like a miracle. For him to string together several deep passes, and a touchdown pass (assuming we need 7) just seems unlikely to me. Goodson will have to have a MONSTER game, with lots of YAC to try and eke out a win.

well, I have more confidence with Jimmy out there than any other qb on our roster. And we'll just have to pray they don't run away with it early.
