I think its b/c we are resigning him and we are trying to get him as healthy as possible, ankle sprains can keep popping up if you dont let it heal properly. Unless you're julius peppers then it takes a weekend to heal. DWILL 2011

The panthers have all intentions on signing Dwill this off season. Most people think we will trade him while I think Stewart will be the one on the block. Goodson and Dwill started out the season and I think next year we will see both of them once more.

^^This. Before D-Wil got hurt his numbers were as bad as they've ever been this will give them some leverage when trying to resign him in the off season.

A lot depends on the contract terms they sign him to. People forget that you can't trade a player not under contract. That was the whole problem with Peppers.

Signing 3rd contracts for running backs is generally not a good thing to do. They are replaceable in the draft and rookies can usually step in right away.
