Should we keep Meeks

how about we just see how far we can go with a 100% change in coaching staff?

what if we just do that?

Not really necessary.

We've got some pretty decent coaches in the midst, it'd be silly to just turn them loose if Fox's replacement doesn't have someone better in mind to take their spots.

What if we cut loose the new ST's coach and the replacement wants to bring Crossman back in with him?

it is if we get a HC that values a blitzing defense with press man to man coverage and abandons this zone poo

If we got Russ Grimm, he might favor a 3-4. If so, he wouldn't keep Meeks.

Should it be Jim Harbaugh, I think he'd go for old teammate Ron Rivera as a DC if he were available. If not, unknown.

Were they able to lure Tony Dungy out of retirement (unlikely, but possible) you'd certainly expect him to keep Meeks.

We'd also need players to match..

Do YOU wanna see Marshall on an island covering Andre Johnson?

With the only "help" being Godfrey?

welcome to regime change.

expect a turnover of a good amount of players starting in the offseason after we make all our hires and they evaluate the players. most of them are on the fringe, some are prime candidates to survive it (Beason, Gamble, Gross, Smith)

what the new guy might do is unload some players for example through trades instead of simply cutting them, to compile draft picks or acquire players that will fit their system

moving to a 3-4 is a very drastic, potentially messy move that usually takes a lot of time to work out. Unless you've got a 3-4 guy who knows his stuff like Capers did with Green Bay, it doesn't yield results immediately. I don't think Richardson is that drastic that he thinks he needs to make that change, but if he is, I hope he handles it with poise and a calculated plan of action to make it work out

personally I actually prefer a 3-4, but I think the team would be better off to stay with the base defense they have now, especially when our centerpiece is more of a 4-3 linebacker.
