What all these people think is that there's a simple quick fix...there's not, this team needs toaddtess many problems, qb not being one of them. Fix our o line and d line, and we're a much better team.

he does try to lead receivers. Last week he tried to lead Rosario, and Rosario at down on a route, leading to an incompletion.

I do think he flees backwards too often, but I can't blame him when a second after the snap there are people surrounding him, often bearing straight in at him...

I hope you're wrong about Carring him, I think it is too early to say that. We'll see how he picks it up; the last two weeks haven't been nearly that bad for him... not for this offense, anyway.

I hope I am too, because it'd be nice to see him step it up next year to compete with whoever we add, because there is no doubt we are adding new weapons & QBs. had we given up more for clausen, were he more entrenched into the role as starter and the offense, if he was handpicked by the new coach who wanted him to be the cornerstone of his offense....i might argue for giving him more of a chance rather than passing up on luck this year. that isn't the case. it was obvious that sanchez was going to be the man. they traded up for him. rex thought that he was great for his new team.

it's just a good thing that rex had that opportunity to pick his own QB. the new coach we have should be able to do the same.

I'm not trying to bash him, I was defending him over Moore for the first few weeks, but I really don't see a lot of positives from his game. It's been said already, but he really reminds me of a less athletic David Carr. At least thus far. He's nothing special physically, has a weak arm, has a low delivery point, has happy feet and gives up on routes quickly unless the WR is WIDE open or we're in desperation time.

I do think he's a smart QB and that he doesn't make stupid decisions too often. The offshot of this is that he looks scared to make any mistake at all or to throw a pass longer than 10 yards, unless again the WR is wide open.

But, anyways, most of what he did today ANY NFL QB could have done, which was short dump off passes to a RB for the majority of the game. I think that was smart play calling brought about by not trusting our QB much.

were it not for the fact that we wil likely have a first overall pick and we didn't ahve within reach one of the best QB prospects to come out in years, i would agree with that.

as it is, we have a chance to dramatically improve our QB situation (the most improtant position on the team) rather than just hope the guy we have will someday grow into the role.

i have no idea, dont watch college untill bowl games. leinart was just an example of fail lol. im also not convinced QB is the biggest need on this team, so it makes the question kinda pointless.

i know im already getting tired of luck being deemed the saviour of the franchise when he hasnt even declared yet. im also in the school of thought that #1 picks are overrated and better dealt for more picks and less chance of a bust.
