Reason we'll seldom beat a team like the Bucs+it's time to blow up this team

I've came to some conclusions tonight, after watching the game.

One, we'll seldom beat a team like the Bucks. Why? Because we play absolutely ZERO perimeter defense. The word is out on our team, we get crushed by 3 pointers and Larry Brown WILL NOT make a change to his defense to start guarding out there. Because of this, we're ALWAYS playing from behind. We're making 2's and they are draining 3's. It's statistically hard to compete with that. We have hardly any 3 shooters. Our white guy comes in and can't even make 3's. DJ is decent, Boris is OK, and Jax takes 15 seconds to set up a shot.

Then I see Jax get ejected. Way to come through for your team. If Wallace is out for an extended period of time, and I'm pretty sure he is from that fall, we are going to have to depend on Jax? Not happening. It's seriously time to trade Jax for whatever we can get at this point. The refs hate him, will not call fouls on him, and he's not a good enough shooter to live on that.

And after seeing Wallace this year, I don't know what his deal is, he's either showing age or just doesn't want to play here anymore. I love Wallace, and I love the way he plays and the heart he shows (usually), but we have too many slashers on this team already and he's older than them and more expensive. I think we should try to deal him while we can for someone that can possibly put up more points.

It's time to deal what we can, and let expire what we can after this year. Build on DJ/Thomas/UPS/McGuire, etc.

It's also time to get a new coach. It's obvious Brown doesn't like coaching in game time, and I think we're getting beat by bad coaching pretty often. He's great in practice, or developing players, etc, but it's time to find someone to replace him after this year. We're not going to beat teams playing like he plays. He was successful in Detroit but had some great guys on that team. It's just not going to happen here.

I don't want us to get stuck in a rut, with year after year of mediocrity like our Panthers. I don't think MJ will allow this though.

Yep, I've watched four straight games now (three losses) where the opponent can take all the threes they want. Houston was cold, and their misses amped up our transition offense - I guess that's the trade off. But NY crushed us two straight with the three. Douglas, Felton, Wilson Chandler, Landry fugging Fields. And tonight - no one gets close to Jennings on the perimeter?? I thought I was going crazy watching that piss poor defense. Delfino would have carved us up too had he of played.

If we waltzed in thinking easy win because of the missing players, that's on LB. Thumbs up for Livingston and McGuire - they've been getting better each game. DJ - you need defense to become a great PG. A-TO ratio alone won't get it done. Thomas and Brown pulled a disappearing act tonight.

And Jack - just smfh

You blow up this team because at BEST it's a 7-8th seed and early exit in the playoffs. What's the point of that?

I don't think LB cares that much. I don't think he wants to be here, he's just completing his contractual obligation. No way a coach watches his team get ROCKED 3 games in a row by 3 point shooters and not change up.

I love the bobcats, but this lineup does not bode well for the future. I like Tyrus and DJ and Wallace but everyone else is expendable. Diaw and Jackson need to be dealt. We need a good young center and we need to start freakin drafting better. fug adam god damn morrison

I think yall are being a little too hard on LB, and trading Jax isnt smart. Who is gonna replace his scoring? Gerald Wallace? Yeah right, he's the one who looks disinterested to me this season. The Bobcats will figure this thing out, I just cant for the life of me understand why people in Charlotte think their sports teams will get better if they get rid of their best players. When does that ever work?

Because we've been down the road with old vets that need to be let go years before (Jake). Also, most of us can realize that we aren't going far with this team. Also, it's just a matter of time before Jax does what he does, implode a locker-room. There's a reason hardly any teams have interest in Jax despite what he brings. Jax would be great on a team like the Spurs or something, but we won't get what we need out of him here, unless that is horrible shots that end up in bricks/air balls or dumb turnovers, or getting Technicals for whining (cause refs hate him).

LB even admitted he doesn't like coaching in games. Really?

For all of his shortcomings, you dont get rid of a Hall Of Fame coach like LB. Yeah, he falls asleep sometimes with his in game coaching, but I still think he has his going in the right direction. As for Jax, I dont think you can compare him to Jake. Jake wasnt playing at a high level when he left here, Jax is still our best and most consistent scoring threat. He also brings alot of positive value into the locker room. I dont think you can trade that without replacing him with another scorer and locker room presence.

Jax has been anything BUT consistent this season. Also, added with the fact that Larry Brown generally seems disinterested this season and Jordan keeping his foot down on most of Larry's trade ideas is probably what's keeping him so uninterested with the team this year.

LOL Jax being a good locker room presence. Dude is usually RAN out of towns. He's not consistent at all, except on Turnovers. Usually when he does score he missed 15 shots in the game to get to that point. Dumb shots, dumb whining, turnovers, etc.

Watch the games, how many times do you see Jax crying about a no-call on the other end of the court while our whole team is a man down on the other end? At least 5-10 times a game.

Refs won't call fouls cause he's a little whiner.

I agree it is past time to blow this team up, Jax has def. got to go he doesn't know when to shut his mouth and is doing more harm to us than good. I say trade everybody but Gerald Wallace, TT, and D.J. and stock up on either young talent or picks. What is the use in being a 7-8th seed and losing in the 1st round of the playoffs every year? I'm all for doing whatever it takes to make this team a winner for years to come and even if it means trading GW it will hurt but if it is worth it in the long run then so be it. We are going to have a lottery draft pick this year so why not trade some guys and try to improve our position to get a stud, I know the Basketball God's will not smile enough on us for us to get Kyrie Irving or a Beast in the paint like Jared Sullinger but you never know crazier things have happened. Another thing that bugs me is that MJ is reportedly trying to extend LB when LB clearly doesn't even want to be here now. I know he has the Tar Hole loyalty with him but come on...

    • Because Young is so historically bad that it just skews too far outside the normal deviations that perspective is easily lost. That or they just don't want to believe it.  The struggles last year would have been more about the infighting and poor roster building or idiot owner's hiring practices than with Stroud. He wouldn't have been as good but he wouldn't have been ruined here and the pressure was not Carr-esk if you take out the Young created portion from his playing style.  Dude is a young guy on a team coached by a Defensive guy building a good D but not building up the O in year 2 of his HC 1st time gig. Seems familiar... Go look at his output this year and not just some crappy Thursday night implosion game, I would take that in a second and never ever look back every time without a shred of doubt while eating 4 of those games a year with a giant smile on my face.
    • There is zero reason to sit him if he is ready to go.  Putting him on a shelf and attempting to protect does him no favors.
    • Stroud us nit the first QB thus franchise has missed on. He also won't be the last.
