Columbia (WIS) - Ray Rychleski is perhaps the most talked about special teams coordinator in USC history, but he soon could be headed to the NFL.

WIS News 10 reporter Drew Stewart caught up with Coach Ray, as he likes to be called, tonight at a high school basketball game. Rychleski tells Drew that the decision is no longer in his hands, and that he would know by next week. He also said that he wasn't interested in other jobs at the college level.

Rychleski confirmed this week that he has talked with the Indianapolis Colts for the same position on their staff. Rychleski and Indy's new coach Jim Caldwell have worked together in the past.

Rychleski just wrapped up his first season with the Gamecocks. He's considered one of the most popular coaches on Steve Spurrier's staff. If he takes another job, he will be the sixth coach to leave the Carolina football program since season's end.
