You know who else isn't afraid to spend "dope"? The Cowboys. How are they doing this year?

Yep, agreed.

Here is a link to the top payrolls per team in the NFL (can't vouch for the accuracy of the site, but if it is accurate, its interesting. Top 4 teams all have losing records (Raiders, Cowboys, Browns, and Vikings). Btw, Jets are 12th. The worst part is that the Panthers payroll is higher than the Packers, Falcons, Colts and Patriots.

Blind spending is not the answer. Proper management is. The truth is that Richardson has not, until this past year, been afraid to spend. IMO, we have wasted quite a bit of money, but spending has never really been an issue. I am hoping that what they have done is cleared cap space for next year when the new contract is in place (assuming there is a cap).

nice post.......if it was all about spending money, it'd be easy. Some people just can't see the forest for the trees.

Which is why all the crap about Richardson being cheap frustrates me. He's done nothing but open his wallet for this franchise. The new HC is going to have a lot of flexibility thanks to the moves we made last off season.

Somehow the cockyazz JETS keeps getting all these probowl and talented players on their team. You won't be able to find a single position on that JETS team that is in big need. What's the biggest need for the JETS in next yr draft? To draft Tom Cruise? The JETS doesn't need crap, because the OWNER isn't afraid to spend "DOPE" in FA. Santonio Holmes for a 5rd pick. Shoot me in the head. Our biggest problem is JERRY RICHARDSON! I don't care what Rae Carruth done to him.

Wish we had a fat big mouth coach. Things would get real interesting.
