Current SOS for teams competing for #1 Pick

The season still has 6 weeks to go, but I thought we could start looking at SOS standings since that will be the first tiebreaker for the #1 pick. Currently we are the lone team with 1 win, but I foresee us winning another game or two. If that is the case we will surely end up in a tie with another team for the pick. Based on that I’ve included the SOS for Carolina, teams with two wins, and Arizona ( the only 3 win team who is bad enough to not win another game).

The rules states that the team who played the weaker schedule (combine the team’s opponent records, and the record with the less combined wins is deemed the weaker schedule) wins the tie breaker and gets the pick because “They played a weaker schedule, thus they are the weaker team”. Currently it’s very close and could be anyone’s pick!

Team........Record.....Opponets Record.....%

Carolina......1-9.................91-69..........57%

Cincinnati....2-8.................91-69..........57%

Buffalo.......2-8..................92-68..........58%

Detroit.......2-8..................89-71..........56%

Arizona......3-7..................72-88..........45%

Since divisional opponents count twice (because you play them twice) I am going to be rooting even more than usual against them!

tbh, I would be astonished if we won more than once, and any of the teams you have there didn't win at least once.

Cincy is enormously talented, Buffalo has ridiculous pride and a great offensive coach, Detroit has looked better than their record at times (and worse others), and I think Wisenhunt will get his guys into it since they're still in contention for their freaking division title.

We very well could be up against Detroit again for the top pick, uggh.

Cincy is talented, but there remaining schedule is brutal!!!

@ NYJ

Vs NO

@ PIT

vs Cle

vs SD

@ Bal

I mean the only game they play that will have a resonable spread is home against cleveland, and Cleveland all ready beat them once this year.

by that logic about Cleveland, Cincy beat Baltimore already and Baltimore may be resting starters, so...

They also have the talent to push any of those teams. I'm not sure they have the coaching to win, but they could.

I wasn't saying they will lose, I was just saying that their easiest game still won't be so easy.

Considering we won't win another game, this is all moot. In reality, Cleveland is our only shot to even consider a W, and I think we'll get blown out again.

You don't think we have a good chance at beating Arizona @ Home?

I actually think the Arizona game is more winnable than the cleveland game.

Arizona will still be in the playoff hunt so no... We are a mess right now and the most we have scored this year was 17. Most any team on our schedule will score more then that.
