Android email problems

I have an LG Ally android phone. I have had it for a while now. About 2 or 3 months ago, I got a new update for the latest android version. Ever sense then, my AOL Email account that I have on the phone will not delete the emails. I delete them and in 15 min when I get the next email check, I get the same ones. The only way I can stop them is to go through the browser and delete them from the actual AOL account profile. I use the AOL account more than the google account that I set up when I got the phone. I would really like this problem fixed. Anyone have this problem or know what I could do to fix it?

I had it with my yahoo email but then I downloaded the official yahoo app ( i was using it in the generic mail app) and it stopped.

Yeah, I know. It is an email account I have had for a long time. I would guess 15 years or more. Everything is run through it, so I just keep it. I use it as my login for nearly everything. I just always have.

I'm not a hundred percent sure on this but isn't aol a IMAP email account where it keeps every email you ever made compared to a POP?

You should be able to go into your aol mail from a pc and find the option for forwarding somewhere there...

check your gmail settings as well. There is an option to have another email account pushed thru to your gmail account.
