Going for the first time ever this weekend. Gonna be there 5 days with the wife. Here is a list of stuff I want to do...any help with suggestions (with links/and/or/pics would be appreciated)

-Take my wife to a strip club, buy her her first lap dance ever (suggestions welcome here):yesnod:

-Helochopper ride into the grand canyon

-Find the cheapest place to gamble....dont have alot of cash to gamble with, so going to keep it cheap. Also, looking for other games to play, only know how to play blackjack.

-I want to go to a show (music/comedy/something weird but awesome).

-Hit up some clubs

-Renew the wedding vowels in a chapel.

-MISC - fill in the blank here....where is the "must goto place" while in Vegas?

For a strip club go to Sapphire's or Spearmint Rhino. I'm assuming the wife doesn't do this often, so make it a good one.

If you want to gamble cheap go in the early afternoon and find the $5 tables. This works pretty much anywhere. If you stick around, they'll grandfather you in as the crowds arrive. You can play the slots too, but can't imagine that getting you excited.

Vanity or Tao are good for clubs, but if you have no money, do not go to a Vegas dance club. $20 a piece to get in on the slowest night and budget $10-$15 a drink.

Catch a Bellagio fountain show.

Get tickets to one of the Cirque du Soleil shows (I have seen Mystere & The Beatles Love and both are great).

If you are in good enough shape, do the Vegas Strip Death March (walk from one end of the strip to the other checking out the casinos).

Go take your picture in front of the Las Vegas Welcome sign.

Go check out the Fremont Street Experience downtown (downtown also has cheaper table game minimums.

Strip club Spearmint Rhino

Thats all I can recommend :) Poker and Strippers!!!

As for a dance club I would ask around when you get there. Anyone from taxi cab drivers to front desk employees will know which club has the most going on. Since your staying there for 5 days, I would take the first day to kinda walk everywhere and you'll stumble into a lot of fun. Some clubs are located at the top of the hotels so they have a great view of Las Vegas.

One other thing...I'd highly recommend going to a couple shows rather then spending a good portion of your money on clubs. Clubs in Vegas can be hit or miss.

The Treasure Island show out front is pretty good. Go after dark, and it's free. (Kind of like Pirates of the Carribean, without the ride.)

Fremont Experience! Hint, Lie down on your back!

If you have a car, you might go up to Boulder, at the Hoover Dam. Cheapset gambling around. When I was there, they had dime slots, I won over $70 in dimes. I almost needed a hand truck to cash it in.

Horseshoe Casino used to have 99 cents shrimp coctails and super cheap chili dogs. (Great for late night munchies!)

It's the Golden Gate Hotel & Casino downtown that has the world famous shrimp cocktail, but it's now $1.99. There is a BOGO coupon that you can get from the Fremont Street Experience website.

I agree about not spending your money on the clubs in Vegas, unless you are really into that. Long lines, full of douchebags, and very expensive (you have to get bottle service to get a place to sit down). However, I would recommend going up to the Voodoo Lounge at the Rio for a drink and the view. There is no cover before 8, but also plenty of free admission coupons around if you go later. I liked it when we went, but we left before it got really cranked up because we had other placed to go and the wind started picking up.

As for adult shows, I liked Jubilee at Ballys because it is an old school Vegas style show where the showgirls wear the big headdresses, etc. (the 10:30 show is topless), and Crazy Horse at MGM.

90% of our gambling is on the slot machines (penny slots) for the mindless entertainment, people watching, and free drinks (always tip the waitress).

Sign up for the casino players cards at the different casinos. You usually get a gift and some free slot play when you do. Just remember that certain hotels use the same card (MGM= Mirage, Bellagio, Aria, Monte Carlo, NYNY, MGM Grand, Excaliber, Luxor, & Mandalay Bay. HET= Harrahs, Imperial Palace, Caesars, Flamingo, Bill's, Ballys, Paris, & Rio).
