Do you like Phil Collins? I've been a big Genesis fan ever since the release of their 1980 album, Duke. Before that, I really didn't understand any of their work. Too artsy, too intellectual. It was on Duke where Phil Collins' presence became more apparent. I think Invisible Touch was the group's undisputed masterpiece. It's an epic meditation on intangibility. At the same time, it deepens and enriches the meaning of the preceding three albums. Christy, take off your robe. Listen to the brilliant ensemble playing of Banks, Collins and Rutherford. You can practically hear every nuance of every instrument. Sabrina, remove your dress. In terms of lyrical craftsmanship, the sheer songwriting, this album hits a new peak of professionalism. Sabrina, why don't you, uh, dance a little. Take the lyrics to Land of Confusion. In this song, Phil Collins addresses the problems of abusive political authority. In Too Deep is the most moving pop song of the 1980s, about monogamy and commitment. The song is extremely uplifting. Their lyrics are as positive and affirmative as anything I've heard in rock. Christy, get down on your knees so Sabrina can see your asshole. Phil Collins' solo career seems to be more commercial and therefore more satisfying, in a narrower way. Especially songs like In the Air Tonight and Against All Odds. Sabrina, don't just stare at it, eat it. But I also think Phil Collins works best within the confines of the group, than as a solo artist, and I stress the word artist. This is Sussudio, a great, great song, a personal favorite.

Wow! "Paid his dues." Really? They didn't put a bullet in the back of his head after playing Russian roulette with him for about an hour and popping a bag or firecracker at least once. So he ain't paid 'em, and never will.

Its attitudes like that, that turns murders, rapists, 1st degree burglers and kidnappers back out on the street in 1/3 of the time they're given. For those of you that are too young to recall. All of these offenses used to be capitol crimes punishable by death. When they were capitol offenses life was safer and better.

And now they are talking about giving this SOB a new trial?

Don't care what he could have been. Its what he is now. A waste of skin.

I knew Cookie.

He paid his dues!!!

No. No he hasn't.

Because on Nov 16th, 1999 911 got this call.

I've been shot...

Ma'am, what...

I'm eight months pregnant.

What happened?

I was following my baby's daddy. Rae Carruthe the football player.

So did he do this?

He slowed down and a car pulled up beside me and started shooting.

And what did he do?

He just left.

Chancellor (their son) survived though. He looks a lot like Rae. Except for the wheelchair & cerebral palsy. The blood loss starved him of oxygen.

But yeah, as mentioned, he was a good #2 WR. Who knows, maybe if he hadn't been a coward, 03 would'be been different & he would've scored the winning TD in the Super Bowl. He could've taken lil 3yo Chancellor out of the stands, gave him the game ball & taught him a new word... "Lombardi", sharing a moment with his son reserved for only a select & lucky few. Sadly, due to reality, 11yo Chancellor will continue to struggle to add to his 40+ word vocabulary, but there are two that he can say really well.

"Angel Momma".

He Paid His Dues!!!!!!!!!!

No seriously I've found myself reading and watching a lot about him in the past few days, and want to know from you old guys if you know what kind of player he would have been, and what kind of player he was.

We're 1-9...and I'm bored....

it's fitting that your avatar is a facepalm

it's like a self threadbomb
