Colin Cowherd

Around the league everyone is saying Luck is the most can't miss pick since Elway.

Pretty much said it comes down to Buffalo, Cincy, and Carolina... Mainly Cincy and Carolina.

But what most people seem to forget about Elway is that he was drafted by the Baltimore Colts in 1983 and did the crybaby "I don't want to play there" routine and threatened to go play baseball for the Yankees instead. The Colts ended up trading him and a year later moved to Indianapolis.

Oh yeah, and where did Elway go to school? Stanford, right?

Cowherd is a douche. He routinely hangs up on callers who call him on his double standards and hypocrisy, he belittles callers who ask him legitimate questions, then never answers the question.

He's an opinionated (nothing wrong with that), arrogant, elitist radio talk show person who thinks he can be some kind of asshole behind the mike and hide from everyone and never be accountable.

I'll take Van Pelt and Rusillo everyday- at least they're funny and want to have a good time doing their show.

Head to head is not the tiebreaker for determining the NFL Draft order.... Strength of schedule is, unless something has changed or I've always read the rules wrong.

Nope your wrong, if two teams have played each other the tie breaker is head to head (unless it's a three or four way tie) the bungals beat us so unless we win three games or are tied with other teams at two wins they wont be able to get the first pick.

Not saying your wrong, but could you back that up with a link please? Then I will be corrected.

"Selection Meeting" means "draft."

TIE-BREAKING PROCEDURE FOR SELECTION MEETING

If two or more clubs are tied in the selection order, the strength-of-schedule tie breaker is applied, subject to the following exceptions for playoff clubs:

1. The Super Bowl winner is last and the Super Bowl loser next-to-last.

2. Any non-Super Bowl playoff club involved in a tie moves down in drafting priority within its tied segment as follows:

* For a loss inthe Wild-Card playoffs, a plus factor of one-half.

* For participation, win or lose, in the Divisional Playoffs, a plus factor of one.

* For a loss in the conference championship Game, a plus factor of one.

3. Clubs with the best won-lost-tied records after these steps are applied will drop to their appropriate spots at the bottom of the tied segment. In no case will the above process move a club lower than the segmentin which it was initially tied.

4. Tied clubs will alternate priority throughout the 7 rounds of the draft. In case of a tie involving three or more teams, the club with priority in the first round will drop to the bottom of the tied segment in the second round and move its way back to the top of the segment in each succeeding round.

If any ties cannot be broken by strength of schedule, the divisional or conference tie breakers, whichever are applicable, are applied. Any ties that still exist are broken by a coin flip.

So this reaffirms what I stated before.... Head to head has nothing to do with breaking the tie, and it is strength of schedule that is used.

Personally, I would rather trade down from our spot (can be easier to do this year if they work out a CBA and a rookie payscale) to somewhere in the mid to late first round, recoup or lost second rounder (Armanti Edwards) and maybe get another 3rd or 4th...

We're already staring at two third rounders because of a comp pick for Peppers... Get us a 1st, a second, and three thirds and you're going a long way to fixing our problems on the field... Combine that with a couple FA signings at various places, and we are back in contention...

I just started reading this thread, but I don't need to read any further as this is the thread-ender. Spot on, SLJ. It is the Patriots modus operandi and it is showing to be the winning way.

That being said, if Harbaugh is on board, you have to believe that he'd want to get his guy.
