Keep this in mind as well:

Key guys on this team like Smitty are VERY loyal to Fox and I'm sure Smitty as well as many others on this team are aware of the situation the FO put Fox in, so if they fire Fox based on the results of a situation they put him in to begin with, it could create a real rift between the players and the FO... they don't want to make Fox a martyr.

The circumstances in Minnesota and Dallas are totally different. Wade was liked by the players, but wasn't getting results with a very talented roster. Chilly was disliked by the players and wasn't getting results with a very talented roster.

Why is it the only game I can go to this year will be at the end of the season with falcons scrubs playing?? ahhhh

Good news is I really doubt you will be seeing Falcon scrubs...

Bad news is Falcons will probably be playing for something and that maybe a horrible lost for us.

The Race for the best record in the NFC is very close, and the Saints and Buccs are right on their tail in the division. With that being a divisional game it could be a game that helps decide the division champion. Also keep in mind that the Falcons have won some close games.... It's not like they are dominating all of these teams...Therefore I believe they will loss more games this year.

JR needs to pull his head out of his arse.

The dominos are starting to fall. Frazier and Garrett gone.

Fire Fox now, grab Harbaugh and get rerady to draft Luck.

Harbaugh says Luck is the best QB talent he's ever seen, anywhere.

Dont screw around until february to make a move and screw this up.

Please!!!1!11!!!111

er lockout

If he quits, they don't owe him the pro-rated remainder of the 6.5 million he's making this year... so he wants to be fired and we won't let him walk with the remainder of the 6.5 million we owe him.

I find it hard to believe as many knowledgeable people as there are on this board and it took 5 pages of threads to realize this...

Brian St Pierre played well, considering Baltimore's defensive strength. It was a close game until the time started to dwindle and we tried to force the passes in. Fox deserves some credit for sizing up Pike and St Pierre and making the call. I do not see many people making a strong case for how/why Pike would have performed better.

But at 1-9-0, I cannot say that I feel confident that we've been able to accurately evaluate the freshman personnel we have on our roster, with a few exceptions(Gettis, Goodson, Sutton, Munnerlyn, Anderson, Godfrey).

We've fielded all of our QB's at some point this season, but under exceptional duress in each case. Sure, fans can excuse some of our offensive line's right side weakness on the season absense of Otah, but what of our pro-bowl left side where Kalil, Wharton, and Gross have secured handsome contracts? Has Fox not made it clear to them that they are to protect their leader(whoever it is), or are they physically unable/unprepared, or is it that they refuse to put forth that kind of effort in a "meaningless" year?

Do the count after the snap on your DVR, sometime. Considerable pressure well before 3. What is any of our QBs supposed to do with that?

Our playcalling has been routinely predictable, and when we've mixed it up and failed we scarcely made second attempts. Granted, I am but a fan, but I do not see how freshman Quarterbacks can be reasonably judged when the veterans around them are physically, emotionally, and/or mentally failing to live up to their own performance from the previous year.

At midseason, we do appear to have a genuine coaching problem. Throw out the record, the veterans we kept have declined, and though we fans should see a differentiation in our new QBs, we do not. That should tell us, that it does not matter which QB were back there, they cannot carry the rest of our defunct offense. We ought to know, and we don't, and that is on the coach.

The only thing I feel we've learned over the last few weeks is that Jon beason belongs in the middle linebacker position and that it was a coaching error to move him into the weak side position, regardless of the injury to other players. Dan Connor may be a good Mike too, but our defense is simply better when Beason is in the middle, regardless of who is playing the Will.
