Agree with the idea, but doubt it'll happen.

Even if he goes full bore after Harbaugh now, with the CBA still unsettled, will Harbaugh want to jump?

If he did, I wouldn't want him.

Basically it would say:

1. He's easily distracted in the middle of the season

2. He doesn't mind his players knowing that they are secondary to his career

3. He's willing to go after a sure payday rather than wait to see how the CBA works out and vet the different job offers he might get, meaning he's not bright.

If this is true then my respect for him has diminished a bit.

I was willing to defend him, to a certain extent, about his team this year, because of the poor management it had over it in the offseason.

nothing will happen until a CBA is agreed upon. I have a bad feeling if thats the case an inhouse coach might be signed for a year. Its hard to predict right now with the uncertainty.
