Pennington is said to have a suffered a career ending injury so I doubt his noodliness arm is an option

that's the thing i was worried about. i wouldn't want to start him or play him. there'd have to be another solution at QB there. i just want someone with pennington's smarts there.

There is no one on the Panthers staff (players and coaches) that I trust to sit in a QB meeting, and help our young guys read D's.

We needs some help from a new OC, QB coach, and a vet at the position.

Its hard to pass on Luck if we get the 1st overall pick. Really there are only two major needs I see on this team. A QB and a DT and DT and there really are not lights out DT prospects so Luck it is.

We need help on both lines.

there aren't really any choices that would be legit #1 picks there. i would trade down for any of them. i don't really like this class of DTs at all (though dareus might be pretty good). for OG...i'd rather pick a FA than draft one. actually, i'd rather get a DT from FA as well, or at least trade for one. this class just isn't good for DTs.

i don't really want to draft a DE. improving the middle of the line would help our DEs immensely.

fortunately no one form the current coaching staff will be around next year.

pretty obvious we need changes there and we do need a vet QB on the sidelines as well. don't particularly want the vet starting (though it would be good if he were able to in a pinch).

How about bring in a Vet not named VY and get a new OC that can call plays and set up a complex system that isn't so easily telegraphed by the D???? Keep Moore as a back up since he has chemistry with the team (it's not his fault the play calling sucks, the line can't block, and our wr's drop passes), We can hold on to clausen or try to trade him and then draft the best O lineman available, even if that means trading down in the draft.

only way to get a decent vet QB that is start-worthy is to trade for him. there aren't really any vet QB who will be availbe worth trying to build a team around. sure, peyton might hit the market, but there is a 99% chance that he won't. even if he doesn't sign an extension, he can get tagged.

trading for a good starter quality QB would be incredibly costly. best option is to draft one.

1. Seneca Wallace

2. Tyler Thigpen

3. Bruce Gradowski

4. Shaun Hill

5. JT O'Sullivan

ALL ARE BETTER THAT BRIAN ST PIERRE. All are capable of playing if Clausen continues to struggle.
