Ravens coach: "It was a Baltimore stadium."

Except that it is our song.

It was an eye-opening experience going to an NFL game down south. Most Panthers fans started tailgating at 11 or 11:30, and many didn't even wear team colors or jerseys to the game. They were also really quiet. It was bizarre.

I want to see how much tailgating and fan support the Ravens get when they are 1-8 and getting blown out on a regular basis.

I was at the game Sunday and I saw plenty of Panthers fans tailgating, wearing their gear and cheering despite the poor showing.

You guys won, congrats, don't be sore winner.

Maybe, but it's our song, so we can pretty much do what we want with it. You can also thank us for holding down the fort in 1812.

I'm sure Francis Scott Key would appreciate a bunch of drunk morons shouting "O" during his poem/song and unless you are at least 196 years old you have no business taking credit for holding down Ft. McHenry in 1814.

Besides all of that, it's dumb.

^ This is on point.

sad but true

A lot of fans look at the ability to verbally berate the visiting fans as a privilege they can buy and wear like an expensive jacket.

Much like buying a new SUV just to show it off at tailgates takes precedence over the actual tailgate itself, the ability to get loud with other fans is something much of our fan base does not understand. They think they need the scoreboard to back them up much like they need the Escalade instead of just the Tahoe to feel comfortable while grilling their fillets.

Its funny.

I think you would be surprised what it would be like in Baltimore. It wouldn't be like it is right now, but it wouldn't be anything like what I saw in Carolina.

Not trying to hate, but the perspective is just funny to me. You though there were plenty of Panthers fans tailgating, cheering, wearing their gear, etc, and I thought there was an embarassing small number who did those things. All in what you get used to I guess.
