Ravens coach: "It was a Baltimore stadium."

I've been to every homegame since the start of the 2005 season. I'm pretty sure this was the most rival fans I've seen at a game. The HEEEEEEAAAAAAAAP, HOOOOUSSSSSSH, and REEEEEEEEEEEEEED chants were loud as hell.

Oh, and they said something during the National Anthem too but I have no idea what they said.

When the national anthem says "O say does that star spangled banner yet waive" they yell "O" as in "Orioles".

Yeah, it's dumb.

Show me a 1-8 team and I'll show you a stadium full of the visiting team's fans...

I agree with you and obviously that is the biggest reason but how about last year for the season opener and all the Eagles fans. They were chanting "Eagles home game" the entire time. Or as another example the Bills game last year (we were 2-3) and all the Bills fans doing their chants and things. The point is I just wish Panthers fans were more loyal and not so whine and cheese when it comes to how you get rid of your tickets if you don't want to go.

By the way, I don't even want to talk about the Redskins game last year. Obviously that's all the holdovers from before the Panthers, but there was more burgundy in the stands than blue.

Yeah, it's always been a problem - even in good times.

Hopefully over time we can develop this fan base through each generation and weed out some of these opposing fans, but i guess we'll just have to wait and see. Until then I guess I'll have to hear the other teams fans throughout the stadium singing "hey, hey, hey, goodbye" to our fans as they leave. Its just part of the job of a real Panthers fan.

"Not even close. Steelers are lucky to get 3,000 in our stadium these days, but you are right about something. When our franchise was new they did roll on us pretty hard. We resented it and now protect our house. And yes, having a good team helps"

The problem is the Ravens have been in existence for one year LESS than the Panthers and it would be a miracle if we only had 3000 Steelers fans at our games when we play them.

I'm so sick and tired of being overrun with another teams fans and feeling out of place in OUR stadium. I mean this Sunday was ridiculous. I'm sorry for those of you who don't want to go and just want to sell your tickets to whoever wants to buy but I personally would never sell my tickets to someone unless I was sure they were a Panthers fan. Otherwise that seat would stay empty and at least it would still be Panther blue. If I was a fan of a different team besides the Panthers that might not be the case but as a Panther fan you know how many yankee transplants live here and are going to buy your tickets up to cheer for THEIR team.

Maybe it just means more to me but I love this team good or bad and its a respect thing.

Charlotte's a great little city. I had a nice time down there. However, it seems so new and artificial in a way, so it's going to take a long time to establish a fanbase anywhere near a city like Baltimore's. Also seems like it has a good amount of transplants because of the weather, which was beautiful by the way. Pro sports are also a much bigger deal up north, especially in the northeast area. College football reigns supreme down that way, and it gets very little attention up our way.

It is not "your" song. What arrogance. Same that I saw in Charlotte on Sunday with most of your fans.

Except that it is our song.

It was an eye-opening experience going to an NFL game down south. Most Panthers fans started tailgating at 11 or 11:30, and many didn't even wear team colors or jerseys to the game. They were also really quiet. It was bizarre.

Most of our fans are fuging worthless and they always have been. Bunch of worthless fair weathered assholes who even if they do show up to the game they are just there to close some sort of douche bag business deal and spend most of their time at the concession stands watching the game on one of those tv's. These are the assholes who disappear 2 minutes before halftime and you never see these assholes till the 4th quarter. Im convinced they have some sort of southern gent circle jerk going on in and around the concession deck somewhere. Every god damned game is like this in every season and this isnt something new just because we suck this year. The problem is the team selling so many of those psl's to worthless coorporations who send these pencil pushing sheep to the games to run elbows with other pencil necked geeks who caould care less about the game. Stone these damn coorporations and these damn clowns out of the stadium and sell thos psl's to real fans and you will see a real NFL stadium and a hostile environment to opposing teams. That will never happen though as our ownership does not like our team to have a homefield advantage.
