Falcons were worse off after 2007

Rams had a worse offense than ours is at the moment last season and all it took was Sam Bradford to turn them into a pretty respectable team. their team is full of no names with the exception of Steven Jackson.

Andrew Luck, please.

It took more than Sam Bradford just like it will take more than a new QB here to completely change things here..

There are a large number of people here on the Huddle who are so cognitively limited that they look at the results of this season alone, a season that was f*cked from the very start, and make sweeping judgments about players, coaches and Marty Hurney. DeAngelo Williams not playing well this year doesn't mean he sucks. Hurney trading a 2nd to get Armanti does not erase the years of good management he's had here.

You all know who you are. I hate you.

I appreciate the sentiment of the thread, but Atlanta didn't keep the GM that got them into that situation after that season.

I think that if you would objectively look at the situation you would see that Hurney has been an awesome GM. Not only is he a genius with the cap but there have been a lot of really good players drafted by Hurney.

Hurney has done a great job at drafting players that fit his HC's system. The fact that system is flawed is the problem, not the GM's ability. I think the way that this years draft went is testament enough for that.

I would like to see what Hurney did with a different coach with a different philosophy before I would want to see him axed.

Wow, I don't know. I remember the team being completely hamstrung in past offseasons by Julius Peppers and the Franchise tag fiasco. So much to the point they had to extend Jake Delhomme. I see that as mismanagement to the nth degree.
