I just switched over from a PC to a MAC

Hey come online and play LOTOR with SLJ and I....oh sorry

Sorry but the Mac is amazingly cool at doing certain things, but it's not as stocked with software as the PC. IMHO it hides too much from the user so that whem sonething goes wrong it's harder to figure it out. And yes things go wrong on a Mac. I actually got my first certification in computers on the Mac 512k and have seen things over the decades that have made my eyes bulge because the cause was so simple if the OS had a way to let you know anything about what was going on.

I have an iPad and absolutely love it for what it is, but I don't want to use it to trpe a term paper.

Click on the yellow + to maximize a page to its best view possible. As a PC user, you've been brainwashed to maximize every window possible. You do not need to do so and will quickly get used to the mac.

As for software programs... right out of the bat, the mac comes preloaded with a lot of stuff that will be sufficient for almost everyone. Unlike when you buy a PC and have to load everything up, you don't have to do that with your mac. If you need something you can't find, google or check on apple website or ask here... apple website has some neat how-to tutorials. I found them useful when I bought my first macbook.

Here's the bottom line... I've been using windows for the last 15 years. I can't tell you how many times I have seen the blue screen of death or have a PC crap out on me some different way. Encounter a new issue and download something different to fix it.

I've had a mac for 2 years now and haven't crashed on me once till date. Less of a headache for me and I'm quite happy that way.
