I'm sure you'll get the hang of it but switching over no longer has much benefits like it did back in the day.

My favorite mac memory from when I was a kid was that instead of a recycle bin it had a trash can. Everytime you put something in it oscar would come out sing that "I love trash" song, badass.

Screen shots you press CTRL+SHIFT+3 and it shows up as an image on your desktop. No need to paste it.

Control + click is a right click.

Application install you just drag it into application folder. To uninstall, just drag it from Applications to Trash

That's to get you started

Optional apps you might need to download (just google): aMSN, Majestic, unRarX, VLC,

This is what puts MacOS worlds above Windows, the simplicity of app install, backup and removal. No hidden files in some random folder. Makes life very easy when restoring a backup after a hardware failure.

That said, I still don't own one unfortunately.

These r great helpful hints! Please keep them coming!

One question I have:

I bought the 27 inch monitor (which is freaking HUGE). However, I can't see text very well, its too small. I used the "increase text size", but that jacks up the webpage I am veiwing. I.e. It won't increase the graphic, so only the text gets bigger, and the website gets all jumbled up!

Also, how do I maximize the screen so that all I am viewing is the webpage I am on.

I see some software suggestions...what r those programs.

Andddd...is it true that I won't need virus protection???

Thanks,
