Turmoil in Tennessee

Im happy for Vince. Jeff Fisher never wanted him or has stood behind him. He deserves to play for a better organization that isnt gonna ditch him the second he throws an INT. Vince should look into coming into the NFC East. He's played well against their teams, and chances are he'll receive better coaching (a la Vick in Philly) to take his game to the next level than he's gonna get playing for Fisher. Fisher is a dumbass, and doesnt have the ability to coach a talent like Vince.

More critically, though, Fisher said Young has lost his starting job and must work through some things. Fisher said he was told Young threw his shoulder pads and jersey into the stands before leaving the field in the third quarter and that the quarterback said something to him after the 19-16 overtime loss to the Washington Redskins that will be kept private.

Young, whose departure was cheered by the Titans fans on hand, quickly dressed after the game and rapidly walked from the Titans' locker room and out of LP Field. He didn't speak with the media.

Teammate Michael Griffin, wearing only gym shorts and socks, chased after Young and appeared to catch up to him en route to the parking lot, but the veteran safety came back a moment later by himself.

    • Wilks is a nobody in the grand scheme of things.  He is right back out of the NFL, exactly where he was before Carolina dragged him back to the NFL.  I don't see what he has to be pissed or salty about. He got a shot with 2 teams and was just a average coach as he has always been.  He is a lesser Fox/Rivera
    • The way BY must play quarterback has a much higher degree of difficulty.  Coupled with his physical limitations his margin for error is small.    The guy evading the blitz and dropping a dime deep over double coverage is more exciting then a wobbling ball thrown into the blitz with good enough placement that gets 6 yards on a 3rd and 5.  It's been beat to death that he will never be the first guy.  He was the second guy vs the Chiefs.    The second guy is harder to do because it's mostly mental:  reading, reacting and processing the correct solution that the defense provided within a second or two.    It's harder to see on film, it's harder to evaluate.  That's why I think there's a divergence between fans yelling "noodle armed middle schooler!!" and analysts going "hold up, let's not write him off yet"    I personally need to see the Chiefs game be the start of growth before getting hopeful.  Ideally would like to see 1-2 300yd multi td games.  Then I'd expect the entire off season to fix his footwork.  With his physical limitations that footwork needs to be damn near perfect.  I would still bring in competition at the QB spot even in that scenario.
