PLEASE Address QB!

Not only do we need a better QB in here for the future, he needs to be the right kind of QB.

Take a good long look at Manning, Brady, Brees, and Rivers. That's what we need. Watch their teams play. They have great O-Lines, their WRs run great routes, and these QBs seem to always find an open man. It sickens me to watch our team. And it has for years now. This run first philosophy no longer works. It seems almost as if it pains our QBs to find an open man, or that whenever they throw it, the WR is covered. Clausen is not the answer, Pike is not the answer, Armanti is not the answer, BSP will not be on this team and is not the answer, Moore is not the answer.

Who is the answer? Beats me, but he ain't here. The only way to find out is to take the risk and bring someone else in. But all you scared fans who don't want to take a risk, enjoy your mediocre QBs who dink and dunk and count on the run game. That's all you're used to here. It seems that's all you think can work here.

To be fair, that's pretty much what it's going to be for as long as Richardson owns this team, because that's HIS philosophy.

Us fans are just going to have to grit our teeth and watch a 30 year old gameplan piss in the wind week after week.

That'd be a surprise.

Clausen would be in his best in a WCO. Whether we get a coach who runs that is up in the air.

Is there a risk with Luck? Yeah, but the possible reward is what makes the risk worth it.

You simply cannot pass on a QB of that caliber.

Good god. Are we watching the same players? Luck has ALL DAY to throw. Yes he looks good, but so do most NFL calibre QBs in college when they're with a good programme.

Clausen put up ridiculous numbers with you, Panthro and Saltman blocking for him. He's going to be a damn good QB, it's a shame half this moronic fan base can't see that.

Can't stand the "what if he's a bust" argument. You can say that for any player, there will never be a player who doesn't have some degree of bust potential. Luck is as close as you get to that player, and there is no reason to pass on him. And if there is, it's certainly not because "he might be a bust." Ask the Falcons, Rams, Jets, Ravens, and Bucs fans how they're qb's are working out for them. Hopefully we can lure Harbaugh with the guarantee that he can get his QB. Also hope he brings someone from his staff who's been working with Luck and can replace Rip Scherer.

I'd rather take the gamble with Luck and have him battle Clausen...while a one-year FA starts and mentors the two. Clausen was never really a first round talent. Luck is projected to be the FIRST PICK. Quite a difference. Sure we could get a FA and wait, and wait, and wait, and wait for years and eventually draft a QB...but damn, we'll have the first pick it seems. We may not have it again for a long time (crosses fingers). Wouldn't you rather take the gamble on the kid, than see him turn into the next Drew Brees for another team? This is our shot to get a supposed superstar. Yes, it makes the team look like asses for picking Clausen. Well too damn bad. This league is about winning, not looking like you're doing the right thing all the time.

Take the gamble, FO!

Hey guys!

Check out this other can't miss prospect I found!

Pros: Can't miss size at 6-6 260 he is a giant quarterback. I have never seen someone throw a ball like him with the flick of his wrist it goes a mile. 80 yards on his feet, 60 yards on his knees and 40 on his butt. To go with that is a 68% completion percentage. Good runner and very tough to bring down. A winner in college and very good in the clutch. Only threw 8 picks.

Cons: Its very hard to find a knock on this. Needs to display more leadership. Only other knock is of his 8 picks is when he is trying to force throws while he is being hit in the pocket. Because of his size and strength he can still stand after being hit and thats when he forces throws.

Overall: Top player in draft barely edging Calvin Johnson. Could be a Daunte Culpepper or Donavan Mcnabb type Quarterback but more tested in college. Should be #1 pick by the raiders could save the franchise.

Wow!

We'd be foolish to pass up on a guy like that!

He's a once in a lifetime talent!

Clausen was a top ten talent that dropped due to character concerns.

I will be very, very irritated if we draft Luck.

Guys! Sometimes when you draft a QB they bust! We shouldn't address that position anymore! Reach for a DE!

The terrible mechanics and awkward delivery are what sell me. Guy is going to be a monster.

Hey!

We addressed the position last year!

Let's keep drafting the same position over and over until one looks like a HoFer from the start!

That way maybe the media will talk about us!

*shivers*

What else is there to sports?

I'm not ready to say Clausen is going to be a bust.

With that said, I doubt you could find many analysts or football people who would predict, based on what's known now, that Clausen will ultimately be a better pro than Luck.

Well that shows your stupidity. Clausen dropped because the kid is an asshole that was nothing but pure hype. He isn't nearly as talented as ND and Clausen fans want him to be. The guy sucks.

If we don't draft Luck then JR is hands down the most fuging stupid owner in NFL history
