What's the point of playing St. Pierre?

I don't see the logic behind this. If only to save Fox's job with a possible win? We are 1-8, we are out of the playoff race. Shouldn't we be building our young QBs by getting them valuable experience rather than playing some scrub who was a third stringer for Baltimore a while ago?

This logic is just beyond me. Anyone else feel the same way?

Not having to pay his salary and another coach's in preparation for an uncapped year. It's a much better move than starting St. Pierre. The Foxy move at least had our future in mind.

Fox has always went with veteran QBs because he has no idea how to coach one and build one up.

He's trying to hide that fact from his next employer with St Pierre.

What's the point? Armanti is too small, and Pike sucks horribly. There is next to no difference between the three, and one isn't even supposed to be a QB. The other will hold clipboards for life. So that leaves one suck ass fool who has at least been in the game before and knows a thing or two. So Fox went with that guy.

I mean really. You sign a career backup to start. 1st start in what 8 years...really? Why? We are the laughing stock of the NFL. Who cares what people "think" of Pike and Edwards. Why do you take them and don't give them a chance..but you sign someone off the streets and let the start. This just hurts my head...its silly and I am tired of watching this team play. Pike is better than St. Pierre. From what I've seen anyway. Edwards should be given a chance. What do we have to lose?

Foxy's coaching judgement has always been questionable IMO. It is clear he cannot develop players. He has lived off a mediocre record with very good talent. His SB team was under-coached He is likely a good man, but not a very good coach..

I still haven't figured out how a QB who was drafted in April and has been with this team for 7 months now gets leap-frogged by a guy who was signed off the street a week ago.

Exactly what does that say about our coaching staff and their inability to develop anyone?
