Just in case in comes up, here's a handy guide to worst beatings in Panthers franchise history:

43 — The 52-9 loss at Oakland on Christmas Eve, 2000. The day WR Muhsin Muhammad topped the 100-catch mark, and dropped the immortal "amid the rubble, a flower bloomed today."

41 — The 41-0 loss to Atlanta was the tail-end of the eight-game losing streak that year, meaning the 23rd loss in a 26-game span.

34 — Denver's Darrien Gordon returned two punts for touchdowns in the 34-0 loss on Nov. 9, 1997.

34 — Matt Lytle saddled with the 48-14 loss at St. Louis on Nov. 11, 2001. That was the day Marshall Faulk and Trung Canidate each had 100 yards rushing -- at halftime.

34 — Pittsburgh wins 37-3 on Dec. 17 2006 to end faint hopes of playoffs. "They beat us down, you can put whatever word you want to on it," SS Mike Minter said.

32 - New England took a 38-6 win on Jan. 6, 2002, the rescheduled final game of the 2001 season. There were dozens of fans here, mostly supporting the Patriots.
