Hunting I will

Squirrel

Recommended Posts

Should have been the quickest hunt in my life. Walked into the woods about 200 yards and a doe jumps out. Watch her for a second and a nice big 8 pointer walks out behind her. Takes a steady and right on target. Bang! He buckles and then runs up the hill. Great shot I think. Go up to where I hit him lit bit of blood hair but whats this meat and bone. Follow what little blood trail there is and call my buddy to bring the 4 wheeler. Keep looking for more blood but dont see it.

Buddy arrives and he looks around some calls his dad to come help. His dad finds the trail and tracks it to a pool of blood but then the track gets cold. While he is doing this my friend pops a spike that happens to walk down the trail. So after his dad cant find anything else they leave and spend the rest of the day walk all over that mountain looking for signs and hopefully the deer laying around somewhere. No luck after walking close to 10 miles. Never saw another buck the rest of the week. :(

    • Is this the wrong place to ask?  Help me please!!   I'm taking my 12 year old to his first game.  We would like to get there early.  Are there any kid friendly tailgating areas?   Thanks in advance
    • Honestly Bryce is a conundrum right now I'm not really sure what we should do with him but I am content on him being the quarterback number one going into next season. I think we should allow him the chance to play out the season to prove that he's the quarterback he can be going into next season.  I would not waste a high draft pick on a quarterback because I'm not sure anyone in this up and coming class is as good or has the ceiling that he had with that said I wouldn't throw away the future I would bring in someone like Justin Fields to have him looking over his shoulder and give us a plan b if everything doesn't go right on a one-year deal. I think the priority right now if tepper wants to make a big splash is find a way to get Travis Hunter that would be option 1AA because he helps with both sides of the field either way whatever you need defense or offense. Make that happen and then go mostly defense the rest of the way and we're cooking.
