I was thinking if I was an offensive lineman and I was in earshot of that I might be a little offended that coach is telling a big guy in the crowd to leave his name with someone at the stadium if he can play o-line, but most if not all the players were long gone by the time he came out and made that comment.

I don't think he meant it as mockery, I think he was just trying to be friendly, but I can see how it sounded bad from a certain perspective.

Yeah, I read that more as a testament to your size and height rather than a slight against his players. Like a basketball coach seeing a seven foot tall guy at a restaurant and asking him if he can shoot a free throw.

Not really an indictment of his linemen (although they are hurting this year in a big way), more of friendly banter.

I think it is hilarious especially coming from Fox. Fox historically hasn't exactly been the joking type. I actually hope some of the O-Line heard it. I think when things go bad these players don't read the paper or watch the news and stay around the house with friends that tell them how great they are. They need a reality check.

Good point, if Fox recruiting offensive linemen from the crowd doesn't motivate you, nothing will.

I mean how offended could the OL get? They are playing like they were on the street last week except for maybe Kalil.
