If we don't have two in Tershawn Wharton and Tre'Von Moehrig then we made two big ass mistakes in free agency. If those signings pan out we should have at least four core players on D in Brown, Horn, Wharton, and Moehrig. I would consider Jackson at CB as a "potential". Same with Trevin Wallace at LB.

The offense is in a lot better shape than the defense because of the line.  That's pretty much it.  We are lacking stars on both sides of the ball.

Definitely baffling. I have no idea why you're paying a safety big money in today's NFL when he's a liability in coverage. The era of the undersized LB at safety is over.

The only way it works is if you run a cover three scheme and you have a Earl Thomas or Ed Reed caliber player at FS. And even then I think you're best served to try to use that in the box SS as a position to save cap space. You're not trying to pay that guy. You just want a "check the box" player there because that type of player isn't highly sought after (or at least shouldn't be) in today's NFL.

Unless they plan to use him as a pass rusher too. Evero's system has more success blitzing DBs than LBs.

I agree, but... The offense looked better with Diontae in it and Andy throwing. I don't know what the heck Bryce was doing at the beginning of the season. When Diontae started to check out, the offense crapped the bed - bad. They looked better because Bryce played really well after returning, making plays out of nothing and extending. We have to be able to get more routine big plays. And to do that you need receivers that can catch a pass 5-10 yards and turn it into 20-30 yards. Every big play pass can't be air yards only. QB will start to press and then bad things usually happen.

It was a classic over reaction. They worked so much elsewhere that going only run support at SS was a spaze move because of how bad run support was last year and how good he is with it. I do not see that one working out and if the front 7 is as improved in run support as it looks then he is useless.

Once clowney goes down thr pass rush will dry up is my guess. Not a good combo with him at SS.

damn

and we still have folks screaming for Warren or tet

It's "moronic" to take a DE, provided that a TE or WR is the obviously superior player. Reaching for players is why we are where we are today. Reaching for players, particularly on day one, is not a viable recipe for team building, much less championships.

Ezeiruaku is the kind of guy who will be drafted in the 2nd or 3rd and after the season people will wonder where he came from, because they were more concerned about how defined a prospects pecs were instead of production.

But, but, but... this guy with 4.5 career sacks sure looks and works out like he SHOULD be a player!!!

You’re always such a dick

Some people are dicks and working on improving.  He is a dick and proud of it.  In psychological terms, and I have some research in this area related to hostility in students with behavior problems that have also been observed in laboratory rodents, he likely suffers from a condition called Histrionic Personality Disorder (HPD). Expect him to illustrate this point in reaction to this post.

Wharton is literally just a rotational player, so I would be shocked if he meets any of those criteria at all.

Moehrig is a possibility but we literally haven't even seen him suit up yet.

Jackson is possible but I would say unlikely.

Wallace meets none of the criteria and I don't particularly see the path forward on that. Hope I am wrong.

Wharton is "literally just a rotational player," until he isn't. Guys can only take advantage of the opportunities given to them, and of course some of that is going to depend upon the circumstances---the setting in which he is playing.

You are A)asking a completely moronic question and B)you were already discussing this in another thread

Simply googling his name and reading about him would give you a legit answer

If you don't like it, fug off 🤡. Acting like you're personally harmed from a thread. Go cry elsewhere.
