My theory on why Pierre is starting

St Pierre played against the Raven's defense every week on the practice squad. Who knows maybe he is our next Jake. He might suck for sure but who knows, he might be better than expected. With Pike already on the roster for the net few years, why not give him a chance to see if he is garbage or not.

The Ravens defense is confusing enough to regular starters, and Pike is a rookie who's still learning an NFL offense. Not to mention that he would get broken like a toothpick the first time he decided to get fancy with his little tap dance shuffle instead of throwing the ball away.

Can you think of any reason why Pike should be out there instead of St. Pierre?

Besides, with the way our line is playing, odds are that Pike will get playing time anyway.

Pierre is stating because the Panthers dont want Armanti to play QB. And due to our sh*tty QB play, injuries, and a vocal minority of App State fans, that possibly is out there. I suspect the Panthers will keep signing bums off the street to prevent having to turn to Armanti at QB. They'll do whatever it takes. Wish they had this philosophy when it came to winning. LOL.

Everything that you're saying about Pike could be said about Clausen. Would you start Clausen were he healthy?

This front office was committed to the "youth movement," and then they go and pull a 31-year-old quarterback off the street who's thrown five passes. Start Pike and see if he can contribute. There's a chance he won't be here next season anyway.
