St. Pierre To Start

That's just ridiculous. The guy doesn't even have confidence in himself.

Any other season, you guys would be begging for a vet of any kind, rather than going with a 3rd string qb...that is also a rookie.

You guys never get tired of stepping off in the deep end.

That's because most vets have had experience and some success in the league. St. Pierre hasn't.

I have a theory here, folks: we might be seeing Armanti this Sunday. I mean, if you were going to play Armanti at quarterback, would you tell a defense like the Ravens? Then again, I guess that could work with Pike, too.

To be honest, I have no clue why we're not playing Pike. At least see if the kid can play -- I mean, isn't that what this season is all about?

If they honestly wanted to play whomever gave them the best chance to win, I have to think that Moose and Hoover would still be here. Instead, they weren't resigned because we wanted to commit to this youth movement. And yet instead of playing Pike or even Edwards, you go to Brian St. Pierre, who has been with the team for less than a week?

This is absolutely ridiculous.

Some of you guys don't seem to know much history of Pike. Well, as a Cincy guy, let me put it out there for you. He was at the bottom of the chart in high school and bottom in college. Just about quit at U.C. What happened? Almost lead his H.S. team to a state title, Took U.C. to two BCS bowls, and went undefeated all of last year until the Bowl game of which the team faces one of the top national teams in college football, Florida.

Putting up points like a motherfuger, I watched Pike go in games before being the starter to be the ball launcher at half time for hail mary time. I watched him absolutely dominate defenses, some of which have solid players currently in the NFL, for two years. He went in the game at garbage time for the panthers and threw 6-12 for 47 yards at the NFL level against a Tampa Bay team that was won games against some good teams this year.

Now tell me, who gives you a better chance to win and a solid prospect to evaluate against a good team. Tony Pike, a rookie who was drafted this year for a reason and, or St. Pierre, a guy who is already over 30, been in the league 8 years, and in that time has fewer live passes than your previous 3rd string QB. It's not only a joke to see him start, it's a clear sign that your coach, John Fox, is trying everything he can to get the boot. I mean hell, you could sign Joe Montana at 54 years old to play and would be better than St. Pierre. Ask Kurt Warner who saw him still throw strikes against him at the charity madden bowl.

I feel bad for you guys, and I'm a damn Bengals fan, the most disappointing team of the year.

You do realize that 99% of us would rather see Pike start than St. Pierre, right? You're preaching to the choir.

This is just complete garbage; human wrenchery. We could've gotten Garcia, Culpepper, Losman, hell even JaMarcus I would rather see start after what, two practices? Frickin St. Pierre!!?? This is just the damn silliest crap I've ever heard. And I have to think, if this were happening to some other locals only team out there...

They're all gonna laugh at you!!
