There is logic in rooting against Panthers victories at this point

at this point i don't think there's a need to root or hope

the team is so bad we might just lose out anyway regardless of everybody's opinion

pretty much. top contenders for the #1 spot are going to be the bengals and the lions.

lions won't be going after luck unless they're worried stafford is really made of glass. bengals...there's no telling. they are pretty much in the same boat as us although they are probably more likely to win more games this year.

yea even dallas still has romo

the only thing we have to worry about is buffalo or if one of those higher teams want to trade down with a team that wants a QB

still choosing between 3-13 and 1-15 is like choosing lethal injection or the electric chair.

Sometimes I feel like I'm the only real Panther fan in the entire world.

These kind of posts give my theory some strong supporting evidence.

your not.

this thread is retarded logic. yea, if we lose out and get the overall pick then great. you ROOTING against our team isnt going to fuging make that happen. Its not like you saying hey, lose! is gonna make them say oh, well since hes rooting for it, then lets do it!

I hope you come to one of the games and root against them so I can tell you how you look like a fuging idiot.

i can see the cowboys going on a win streak for a few weeks since the players got what they wanted getting wade booted from the team. they'll probably finish with 5-6 wins this year. maybe 7. who knows.

the bills are too good to be 1-7. their offense can score they just needed to pop their cherry for the season. they'll probably pull off a couple more wins as well. they've got a lot more of a chance than us to win games, but you're right, they could still trade down to pick up luck if some team managed to suck less than the panthers.

barring a miracle, i just don't see us winning more than 3 games this year. we always do well against the cards at home unless it's playoff time and they seem to be sucking as much as we are only they are able to pull off more wins. browns are improving. we don't do well going to seattle. falcons will be resting players more than likely for the last game only that game is going to be in atlanta. i don't see them losing a home game against us this year regardless of who they have starting.

why not find out

WHY NOT

If we (somehow) started winning games, it would mean that our young team is starting to come together, that guys have started to play well (Rookie QBs, Rookie WR's, Young RB's). I'm not sure I would trade development of an entire team's worth of players for the hope that Luck can be good. He can just as easily be the next Jamarcus Russell.

If we end up with the #1 pick and Jimmy/Pike haven't progressed, then Luck is probably a good play. But, by God, I will not root for losses.

I simply can't sit down on Sunday and watch a game, hoping our guys do poorly.

I can realistically understand that the odds are long but still deep down, deep down, I am hoping for the best.

Did I say things like, "Please don't mess things up by winning today", after we had just dropped 14 straight freaking games? Yeah! But I also still wanted us to do well deep down. That was just something to say to my buds who are fans of other teams and were riding me mercilessly about it.

So even thought the chances of beating the Ravens is not good, I will still have that feeling at kick-off (Maybe just Maybe). However, I know rationally that the thought soon to follow is - "For the love of God what are they doing!!"

very much worth it, imo. he has more of a chance of making a huge positive impact on this team than anyone else we could be picking.

i don't care who we drafted this year. if the FO knew that we were going to suck so bad and put us within reach of luck, they probably wouldn't have drafted clausen. pike...they probably would have picked up but it was a 6th rounder so who really cares?

the guy could bust, but so could peterson or green and even if they don't bust, the overall impact they would have on the team would be nominal compared to luck.

it doesn't matter if you root for losses or not. we are almost totally assured of the #1 overall pick.
