How important is it?

Hunt's the #1 seed going into the second round Friday night against West Carteret. Hunt sucks when it comes to support and people showing up for games. WC is rolling into Hunt with 9 busloads of students and a 160+ marching band unit. Our stadium is going to be completely taken over. No way our band can compete with only 25 members.

The only thing I question is them being invited to perform at the half.

Football is played by the teams, not the fans. Home field advantage can be big, but usually only on the first defensive series or two, or late in a close game.

At this point, all the teams have seen a good deal of teams and several different situations. Unless you have a bunch of Seahawks fans showing up from Seattle, it probably won't matter if you did have as many or more fans than WC.

WC is good, but Hunt has played ball all year long. Good playing along the line on both sides and solid coaching, from all I have heard. Hunt should win if it is the same Hunt that has been on the field all year. WC is very vanilla. Wouldn't be surprised by an upset, if Hunt's kids are easily intimidated by support from traveling fans. But I just don't see that happening.

      Respectfully, I completely disagree. Last year we were:  32nd in Sacks. 32nd in Turnovers.  32nd in Rushing TDs allowed  29th in Scoring.  We were absolutely atrocious on defense last year and that was with a full stable of weapons in Derek Brown, Frankie Luvu and Brian Burns that played all 17 games.  Using yards per game as a metric to guage our success lacks the context that because our offense was so inept teams were not driving the length of the field, they were starting at their 40-50 yard line.  This year, our Defense ranks:  31st in Sacks. Tied for 19th in Turnovers  31st in Rushing TDs allowed 32nd in Scoring  His defense fails to get pressure, fails to turn the ball over and fails to stop the run. Three things you absolutely have to do to be successful in the NFL.  Denver meanwhile has not missed a beat without him.  If another team wants to hire him as a HC and the Panthers get two 3rds for it I'll wish him the best and pack his bags myself.
