Where are all the AE lovers?

Honestly, with Vicks performance last night I figured there would be a dozen threads on the front page about how he needs to play QB for us because he was better at App than Vick was at VT. Instead, all morning and nada.

I'm really disappointed. In both of you.

You missed last week where the poster "GoApps70" claimed that Armanti was more accurate than Vick and "just as fast".

This thread is stupid. Our coaching staff is too idiotic to even consider playing AE so it does not really matter in the first place. At some point in a wasted and pointless garbage season it would make sense to try out all your players to make sure you dont have a idamond in the rough somewhere but all fox cares about is updating his resume and getting the hell out of dodge. Glad to see some fans are still the mindless sheep they always are and wouldnt even consider something like that. What does it hurt a 1-8 team just to throw him in on some plays to see what they have? Youre right absolutely nothing. Im no AE homer but wouldnt bitch and moan like some of these girls in this thread if they were to just try the concept out and see how it goes. Closed minded idiots.

Armanti was more accurate than Vick was in college, but Vick looked like a machine last night....in a rainstorm!

I would love for the coaches to let Armanti run the Panthers normal 2 minute drill for a couple of series during the game on Sunday...what in the world do the Panthers have to lose? It would make the game exciting for the fans instead of run, run, pass, punt.

Cam Newton is currently projected as a 2nd round pick....with the way Vick is playing this year, I think he will probably go in the mid to late first.

Maybe the Panthers could trade their top pick for a mid 1st and couple of 3rd round picks...and pick up Cam.

    • If we are going to spend the money anyway, maybe the signing is not as bad as it seems.  Mays outperformed Corbett (before his injury and if you go back to last year, Corbett has been below average) and then Christensen took the job and Mays quickly took it from him and never looked back.  He could use improvement reaching to the next level (LBs) but picking up stunts and blitzes---he was surprisingly good.  Run blocking needs some work, but he is 25.  Corbett, in my view, should be G/C depth and if Mays steps back, he is there.  Mays should start because this team is building for the future and 30 year old players are not building blocks.  We shall see.  That is how I think about it, but there are many factors we do not know. Having said that, I like what Zavala is doing, and I do not want to bring in someone who would take opportunities away from him.  Zavala was really good at RG down the stretch, and in limited duty, was awesome. In fact, we have a guard from the PS who played briefly and did well, but he only played a few plays.  He is 25 and I recall that fans of his former team were upset when we signed him.   Maybe as the backup center only (Corbett).  You need 2 centers to run practices efficiently.  I cannot say enough about the OL coaches on this staff.  What they have done is overshadowed by the Lewis / Hunt signing.  Mays, Ekwonu, Zavala--impressive growth.
