Question for Harbaugh / Luck fans...

Mr. Scot

The only thing that makes me nervous is that as little as 9-10 weeks ago, not one of us was wanting Luck. If someone can link to a past post (2 1/2 months plus+) that says they want Andrew Luck, I'll apologize. Up until that time, it was all Jake Locker, all the time. So I'd like to change mine to Harbaugh, and get the BPA in the draft. We need so much help everywhere it's just not even funny.

Harbaugh easily. People forget the fantastic job he did with Josh Johnson at SD. JJ in ever year he started had at least a 168 QB rating and in his senior year threw 42 tds to only 1 int (and that bounced off a receivers hands). Albeit not against a high level of competition but still great coaching.

I don't think Luck would be nearly what he is without Harbaugh and I am confident Harbaugh can succeed without him.

I thought 158.3 was the highest QB rating possible? Is it different in college.

No question, Luck. Cant pass up a guy that can possibly be the next franchise qb in the league, how would we feel if he turned into a Peyton or something and we traded down for an athlete? Plenty of coaches to go around, possible HOFers? not so many
the question is...do you want a HC who can build a team from very little and make it competitive or a QB that "the right" (not just any coach) coach can build a successful team around.

marino was great, but how many rings did he have? peyton will go down as probably the best QB ever, but he will do that with only one ring. is that enough? would belicheck have won his rings without brady? i don't know, but he was able to do it without a #1 overall (actually he had a #1 overall and passed him over for a 6th rounder).
