5 TDs tonight so far for Vick

and it aint even halftime yet!!!!

But Mr. Scot is still to proud to say he's the best QB in the league. He cant bring himself to say it.

And to my homie X-Clown. I love you baby, but I must ask, still think Matt Ryan is better than Mike Vick?

Alright, I'm just getting in from Tampa, so I didn't get to see the game myself tonight but apparently Vick has played the best game of his pro career. What he has done this season is well above any realistic expectations one could have had for him, and I'll be the first to admit that as one of his doubters, I was wrong. That being said, don't pretend like this is the kind of play that he was famous for in his Atlanta days (especially post 2004), if it was, Matt Ryan wouldn't have been the first quarterback to lead that team to back to back winning seasons in his first two seasons as a starter. He's about to do it a third year in a row, and the Falcons are right now the #1 seed in the NFC. Nothing wrong with calling Ryan the "savior" of that franchise is there?

As for where to rate Vick, I'd have to give him a little bit more than 4 games to declare him the best, and certainly can't discount the fact that the Redskins organization is a mess that just gave up 37 points in a loss to the Lions last week. Their coach seriously benched McNabb for Rex fuging Grossman! But I give Vick his props, he certainly could have helped our team (although with our shitty line and playcalling, he probably would have been concussed in Week 2).

What have they done in the playoffs since Vick left? Ryan is in his 3rd year and hasnt won a playoff game. Vick was beating Brett Favre in Lambeau in only his 2nd year. Ryan is behind the curve of what Vick has done at this point in his career. Back to back winning seasons is nice and we covet that. But Ryan hasnt proven he can take Atlanta as far as a raw Vick could. Vick today is still more popular than Ryan is in Atlanta. Ryan isnt trash, he's a good QB and has played well for Atlanta, but being a successor to Vick is a tough act to follow.

Washington is a mess, but their defense is the only team to beat Vick this season. So I dont think its fair to act like they're trash now. Fact is, Vick just put up the highest scoring affair in MNF history. He's the league's highest rated passer and has yet to turn the ball over this season. If our QBs played as efficiently as he has we'd contend for a Super Bowl. Vick scored 6 TDs with ease tonight.

You're kidding yourself if you think Vick didn't receive a wakeup call by going to jail. He wouldn't have ever amounted to this much in Atlanta. Even Vick himself has admitted that. And there is no doubt Ryan will take us further than Vick did.

Poor Atlanta, all their QBs have to go to other teams to be great. First Favre, then Vick. Wonder if Ryan will be next. LOL. ;)

With his 80 rushing yards tonight, Vick surpassed Hall Of Famer Steve Young at 2nd on the all time QB rushing list. He trails only Randall Cunningham.

Vick became the first player in NFL history with at least 300 yards passing, 50 yards rushing, four passing touchdowns and two rushing touchdowns in a game. He hasn’t thrown an interception or lost a fumble this season.

“I’ve had some great games in my day,” Vick said. “But I don’t think I’ve had one quite like this one.”
