Any you folks live near Waynesville,NC ?

I rented a house with some friends up by the airport my last two years of college off Genesis Trail Dr.

I lived in a trailer park off Wayehutta for like 3 months. We were so desperate to get out of the dorm we lived in a single wide.

Free golf was a perk up in Cashiers. As was the free skiing and $12/hour wal-mart summer job.

I loved it up there.

Waynesville is awesome b/c it's right next door to Maggie Valley, home of Ghost Town. It's also an hour's drive from Cherokee, Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, and many other awesome and beautiful areas.

I spent 4 years of my life in Cullowhee. I drank 8,000 gallons of beer, played 10,000 rounds of free golf, made $12/hour at the Waly-Mart in Sylva during the summer, and skied the hell out of Cataloochee Ski Mount...err, hill in the winter on my bootleg "season ski pass".

A fellow Catamount!! I must be much older than you, because there was not even a Waly-Mart when I was there.

Watching a fellow Catamount do well on the Panthers always made me feel good. He must have been an exception because I just remember us sucking all the time.

Getting trashed and puking on someone's welcome mat at an apartment complex, having them open the door as I am puking and punching me dead in the face.... Good Times!! I miss college!

I'm about 45 minutes from Waynesville. Why anyone would be interested in that town is beyond me, except for pizza at Nick & Nates. But there's one of those in Sylva which is 15 minutes closer...so yeah I can't see why anyone would be interested in Waynesville other than to pass through on the way to Asheville.
